Day Ten

This morning I was woke up by this annoying thing called the telephone, woo this was buzzing my ears waking me up from my beauty sleep and dream I might add. So I weighed myself this today and I actually gained weight since my last weigh in. Yes I cheated and made me some ceviche it was worth every pound of it! This happened on day eight.

I'm currently drinking juice still and I have cheated over the weekend. Yolanda keep saying go ahead and just eat regular food Nicole, it's OK just change what you eat. I know that I only committed to this juicing for 30 days but yet it seems like and eternity which means that I have 20 more days to go before I could start my new eating habits. See eating a more healthy meal is more simpler to me because I'm filling my mouth with something and my stomach will be satisfied.

Gosh I totally forgot to check my blood sugars this morning,all because I was side swiped by Yolanda calling waking me up to take out the trash and pick up the palm tree branches that were cut down last week and couldn't fit into the trash can last trash day. We also decided that we will walk around our community some days and that way us and the dogs are getting some much needed exercise. That's a bonus for me I must say Yolanda tries to work with me to help me lose the weight. I get it she don't want to have to experience zip lining and horse riding by herself, while I sit there and watch from the distance.

On the other hand she is fine by herself if she really wanted to do it, she would do it with or without me. By the way these are some of the things that she wanted to do and because of my weight she opted out. In Hawaii we go ride the ATVs and they always give the big one that is intended on seating two, when we jet ski it's seems as if they never have a life vest that fully fits me comfortable. But we fixed that issue at walmart, we purchased our own life vest that fits both of us. So when we travel we bring them along. OK enough about me and trips believe me I have more stories that I could tell that will leave you on your butts.

Day Eight


I'm seriously thinking about giving up on this feasting thing. Not because I'm weak I really only did it to support Yolanda because she was doing it. I thought that she was being tortured from the smell of foods like me cooking breakfast and she smelling all the flavors of the pork. I did lose weight on this fast and it is motivating. But I do miss eating a decent meal now and then, I've tried so many diets and fads that this one is probably not for me. OK maybe I'm tripping right now because I am upset that I gained a pound.

On the other hand my blood sugar has been elevated in the high one hundreds vs the two hundreds it normally be. I'm trying to decide if I want to go and make this ceviche and cheat today. Besides my show is coming on today it's the premier of Dexter on showtime and Californication. I am used to eating foods while watching my shows, I know that's bad behavior. I must say my will power to live is dented because I want to live and I want to eat as well. Yes I love food, I'm thinking about seriously going to a food anonymous class! Yolanda sent me an email with all the information about it.

Day Six

Whoo... along day at the movies everything just smelled so good. I woke up this morning knowing that today I might cheat a little bit. When I weighed myself on the scale this morning I was 312 that is pretty darn good for a six day feast or fast. I apparently didn't drink enough water the night before because my urine was very yellow. Now not drinking water is very bad especially when you are on a juice feast, so I was told.

Anywho I watched Surrogates at the movies today, I must say the movie was good since that is not the movie that I was going to see today. I was supposed to be watching Panderum, but at the last minute we decided against it.

OK, back to the stats of my progress this morning my blood sugar was 170 which is pretty high, but not's as high as it normally is! Yolanda egged my on today with go ahead Nicole eat something I wont say anything. Although I was very tempted to take her up on that offer, but just passed off as a silly comment.

THE DOGS:
Let me just throw this in here I have two dogs there are dear to my heart. But last night one of them freaked me out, my dog Misti was barking at my other dog Naj. Misti was breathing so hard you could hear her from upstairs. As I hear the loud breathing I was asking Yolanda what is that she was like that's Misti, Misti are you serious it was the very first time that we've heard such breathing from any of our dogs. I just wanted to let people know that that freaked me out.

Day Five





Of course the sandwhich that the host ate was four times bigger than this original sized.

This morning was a sucky start I stayed up last night watching Man vs Food and he was in Philidelphia. Man need must I say that he went to this philly cheese steak place called Tony Luke’s and it looked so good. The way he ate made me want to fly out there and get a couple of them and bring them back to AZ. My mouth was watery just picturing the juices that ran down his hand, yes I love food that is one of the reasons I'm in this situation that I'm in right now! But anyways enough with that it only brings back cravings.

Well, after telling Yolanda what I saw on T.V. last night. I went and made me some Apple Juice, fresh squeezed apple juice is a great treat and I find it better than the store bought Treetop, I took my meds as usual and drink some water. Ok me and water is hard to get along, I normally drink as much water as I can while eating something with it. because, not eating and trying to drink water is dreadful. I seriously have to force myself to drink the water and just doing that makes me want to gag.

I got on the scale and weighed in at 315, ok I lost nine pounds in 5days that is good. And my bloodsugar was only 154 this morning which is very low to what it used to be.

Overweight Issues – A Growing Concern




If you are in a situation of being overweighed and obese, you should be worried because this virtue is like an epidemic which is spreading in almost all of the countries and among all age groups. Overweight issues and problems are countless. It involves diseases such as high cholesterol level, high blood pressure, diabetes, unusual body metabolism rate and eventually heart attacks or hemorrhages. The average waist of an individual has grown tremendously and effected the population severely. It has influenced people emotionally, physically and mentally.

Researches have shown that if you are overweighed or obese, you are prone to get any sort of cancer up to 75% which is why it is so deadly and hazardous. It is a hindrance in your personality as well. You are lazy and your appearance is different from people; this causes a gradual fall of your self esteem and self confidence. The sooner you realize what obesity can do to your body system, the better you will be able to take care of it.

Overweight issues and problems depending upon the extent of being strong, mild or normal affect your body. It leads to an early death which is why the ailment is so dejected. The extra pounds and fats you have on your body have a stress and pressure on your joints and articulations making them weak and exposed to diseases like arthritis or disc slip and etc.

Being overweighed also causes a lot of burdens on your personality. You don’t feel good about yourself while you wear some fancy and fit clothes. You are not being able to enjoy your life to the fullest because of the extra pounds you have on your body.

If you want to have a better change, you should know the consequences and conditions which are responsible for your excessive weight. Determine what is the cause and reason behind the rapid weight gain you are having. You should introduce yourself to healthy and nutritious foods which will change your whole physical appearance.

Don’t consider the synthetic means for the loss of the body weight. Although they will be rapid and short termed but not long lasting and prevailing. You should divert to the natural methods as much as possible in order to get a healthy body.

Overweight issues and problems are growing at a rapid pace. It is the time to get rid of this problem otherwise it would be very late for us to take care of this major issue.

Day Three



OK, this morning wasn't so bad it was just knowing that I had to run some arrons today. Being out there alone without Yolanda was very tempting, seeing all the fast food places made me want some food. Looking at McDonalds, KFC, Sweet Tomatoes just was watering my mouth. But I ran all my arrons and didn't even stop at any fast food resturants, I didn't even want to go in the Walmart SuperCenter for another jug.

I just held all the cravings and temptations in and once I was home it was time to drink alot of juice. My blood sugar numbers are always high early in the morning before I juice. But the weird part is after I drink and then I test my sugars they are at normal numbers.

2 Apples
1 Nectarine
1 Hand full of Grapes
1 Pear

Day Two

I woke up at 4:30am to get ready to go the office, while I sat and watched television in bed for a few minutes. I was thinking to myself that some Eggs and Bacon sure would taste good right now! But holding back the urge to purge I went into the kitchen and made some fresh Apple Juice yummmmmmy.... that was so good.

Well one of the other things that I do in the morning is check my blood sugars... need to say it was, ummm. wait a minute let me go get my Accu-Check Aviva so that I could put accurate numbers: 172 at 4:48am now this alot less than what it normally could be.

On my way to work Yolanda my roommate asked if I was hungry, because the first thing I did this morning was made some juice? Yes I was hungry I replied. But I'm going to try and stick it out for me!

Once at work Yolanda, teased me about being hungry because every food place that I'm used to seeing on the way to work, I closed my eyes and pretended to be asleep. So I was sort of putting it out sight out of mind. Ok, normally we are done with work around 10 or 11 am and be on our way home for the day. But today we just dragged along and waited until noon to be done with all the orders.

Now, I have not drink anything since early this morning around 4:50 am. My stomach is making all these funny and strange noises, yes hunger pains!! all the while Yolanda wants to go get gas and to the store to get more fruit. I was dosing off and on starving and all I could think about was the juice that was in my fridge at home... Come on Yolanda dang! I am hungry here!!!!

Finally after the store run picking up some oranges that were on sale at Sprouts for 88 cents a pound. Then were almost home and here she goes "oh I need to go by the post office to drop off this bill, ok now I'm like are you serious and on top of that when we turned down our street to go home, she say's oh I have to go check the mailbox. I'm like damn ok hurry up so now I'm finally home.

Today I had 2#'s of Liquid juice that I made from yesterday and took my vitamins. So once home I checked my blood sugar it was: 133 at 2:07pm now I'm drinking on 1 liter of water.

Day One

I woke up very early this morning I looked at the clock and it was 3:20am. I was wanting to go to the Super Walmart, but they don't open until 5:00am so I dose back off to sleep next thing I know my roommate said okay bye... Bye what do you mean bye, she said it's almost seven o'clock. I was like hey wait for me, hurry up Nicole she said always rushing me. I was thinking in my head if you know that I wanted to go to the store early in the morning and you woke up then why wouldn't you wake me up! But leave it to her she just a get up and go kind of person.

Ok, anyway I went there and while in line this lady had some sales papers. And I noticed that most of them were for produce items, so I kindly interrupted and said after your done with the papers could I used them. The lady in the market was kind enough to leave me the papers and now my roommate is all excited. Ok, let's go and make sure we getting all the sale items s "she said" ok Walmart price match so we really saved alot of money on our fruit and vegetables.

So my here are my stats I currently take Lisinopril for High Blood pressure and most recently my sugars were up and my doctor put me on a diet to lose 30 pounds in 3 months. I also have high cholesterol as well so these numbers need to drop soon!!

My starting weight is : 324.8
My Height is : 5'4
My Blood Sugar were 164 at 9:20am

So far I juiced my first drink in a Gallon jug which includes:
2 Celery Halves
2 Nectarines
1 Peach
6 Strawberries
1/2 Pineapple
1 Hand full of Baby Spinach
5 Apples
1 Pear
2 Carrots
1 Bowl of Red Grapes

Once juiced up in the juicer, I then took the remaining pulp that was the excess from the fruit. I put in the blender with some water and puree'd until it was liquid and then put in a milk strainer bag, and squeezed the rest of the juice out.

So this is the big day for me "Keeping my fingers crossed"

Tips for Remaining Fit & Healthy



Being a human being, it is really important and essential to look well and behave properly. Looks and personality make up the most of an individual's self being. You should have an attractive physique, better skin and a proper lifestyle to exhibit an attractive personality. Everyone likes being in shape and in the best of his or her style. But you should know it is more important to be healthy and to be beautiful from inside. Most of the people these days are seen asking I want to remain fit and healthy-what should I do? So in this article, some tips will be provided for your betterment and improved personality.

First of all, you might know what you should take care of the most. Yes, the food you eat! In order to remain fit you should take a proper diet which is balanced and proportionate in terms of quality and nutrition. Design a proper and well structured schedule for your daily activities. You can try to join fitness classes so you can have time saved for several other things you have in mind for the day. Keep a check on your weight regularly to remain fit and healthy. Once you realize the limit is getting a bit dangerous, consider a suitable diet plan or exercise classes for the purpose. Body maintenance requires a lot of hard work and commitment. Make sure you stick to your plans and ignore ever kind of myths and false facts regarding the weight loss you are approaching. The more self confidence you will have, the sooner you will get the targeted weight and overall appearance.

Day at the Movies

Mostly every Friday I'm at the movies seeing the latest releases. Today I was sort of sad just thinking about Sunday, that's the day that I start my Juice Feasting. I was wondering could I resist the urge to taste those warm crunchy chips with hot cheese sauce and jalapenos. So maybe I thought I would just stay home instead of going to the movies on Friday's.

But, if I give into temptation then I fail and if I lock myself inside my home. Then I don't have any self control over me. So I'm going to stack up on fruit and veggies, make me some juice first thing in the morning this coming Friday and drink up. I'm not going to become a prisoner because of all the delicious food places out there. I'm going to stand up and take control of me and tell them nachos hell no! you will not empower me any more..... at least while I'm juicing!! LOL

Hello my name is Nicole I'm 33 years old. I'm basically on a mission to lose weight and change my eating habits. This is definitely going to be a journey for me. I'm outgoing, fun love to laugh and a total movie freak.. I love fashion and glamour my friends used to call me Ms. Cover girl but that was long ago.

I love to travel, I've been to all these exotic places and couldn't really do all the things that were cool. I've travelled to Hawaii 3 times Big Island twice and Kauai once, Cancun once and Puerto Vallerta once and other places. Besides that I'm home sharing the love with my dogs Naj and Misti.

But anyway my next travel experience is me going to Europe and I want to be able to sit in the airplane. Without an extra seat belt that I have to add on to the original one....

The reasons for the lifestyle change

Hi Everyone,

First let me thank you for taking the time to read my story....... and goes like this!

My name is Nicole born in 1976 to a single mother in California, I'm 33 years old and for the last 15 years since high school I've been battling the monster called fat, blubber what ever you may call it. When I first started gaining weight I sort of brushed it off as nothing. I remember looking in the mirror saying that it's nothing just baby fat! Then you get that real look you know the big "P" the picture and see yourself looking like someone different, and then you say how did it get this way?. What in the heck happened to me when I saw a picture of me looking a whole lot heavier... I was like is this me, no it can't be me?

What am I going to do about it! I tried walking but became winded and tired. Went to the gym and was laughed at by some little kids who decided to make pig "onks" so then I quit! I tried the Lemon Diet, South Beach Diet, Lean Cuisine, and nothing worked. I even have gym equipment in my house... had a whole room dedicated for excerise. I kept the door closed, and made like it was never there.

So now 33 years old, I'm going to make a change and try "Juice Feasting" a friend of mine recommended. She explained that it's more than a diet it's a lifestyle change. After researching this lifestyle change, I come to terms that I will try it. Not only that my doctor gave me 3 months to lose 30 pounds and I have only lost 8 pounds and it's been 1 month.

Recently at the doctor's office my Dr. ran some blood work and I found out that I have Diabetes type 2 and High Cholesterol and on top of that I already had High Blood Pressure. The three silent killers, I want to have kids one day but because of my weight my period is irregular.

Anywho, I'm just ready to take this journey to a new lifestyle and becoming a more healty person.
